This is a full year's worth of curriculum, spaced into 32 weekly lessons. The time period covered is from the explorers to the Jacksonians.
There is nothing else needed to teach this course. I feel it is a great curriculum for kids that are reluctant about history, as the lessons are bite-sized and not overwhelming.

It is easy to use and teach - a palatable way to cover American history, if your student isn't a huge history fan.
The teacher's guide has many extras that can be added to make as much of the subject as one could want. There are suggested projects, lists of books to read, and much more.
